If you can indentify the - engine , gear box, diffs as belonging to a particular vehicle manufacturer then by using the vin number and contacting the engineering department of that manufacturer you may be able to track down the coach builder and get more information that way
ok exhaust smells tend to intensify in cold weather. your vehicle is using more fuel the colder it gets. once the engine warms up does the smell go away? if it does, then i wouldn't worry.
well they dont have a timing belt they have a timing chain which is nice but i would take it to a mechanic with a ford scan tool to diagnose it its really hard to diagnose these newer vehicles over the net these days! it could be so many things from throttle position sensor to rev limiter issue!
