PRNDL error, no backup aid

2003 Ford Expedition will not start. The reading says "PRNDL error, no backup aid"

    Thanks. I tried moving the gear too. I replaced one of the fuses but it blew again in a 20 minute drive, now it will not start again.

    your fuel relay is shorted out a hard wired relay on back of fuse/relay behind l kick panel look on ebay used

    expedition EB is same as navigator all other expeditions are not a EB

I think the computer is telling you that it is not recognizing what gear you are in as you can only start the vehicle in park or nuetral. thats the best i can do for you sorry

    short or plug in not secured on your fuse /relay board under left kick pannel

I had to star at your PRNDL word for a second
before I realized ... that is your
AUTOMATIC SHIFT Sequence letters...
PARK, REVERSE, NEUTRAL, DRIVE... LOW.

I'd be wiggling the neutral safety switch around to see if there were any response there...

Do be VERY CAUTIOUS... if INDEED your
"NEUTRAL SAFETY switch is defective your car is ready for loco-motion (toto-cray = driverless possibilities)...

Get a sharp mechanic to TEST the switch...

PRNDL error nobackup aid is showing. Its not showing any mile to E nor milage on the dash. Also I had someone jump me for a little and it tried cranking up, it wasn't hooked up long. Does that mean it...
If you're finding it difficult to service/repair your car, get one of those
online manuals. You'll not have to wait for others to answer, or rely on mechanics and all. Plus i know a website that has very good manuals online, without expiry i.e. for lifetime. www.reliable-store.com

2002 Ford Expedition. Was driving perfectly. Turned car off to put gas. Finished putting gas but then car would not start and I get the following error msg: PRNDL power error. no backup aid
here is a service message that Ford put out,, if you check the fuses you will probably see a 20 amp fuse has blow,, try replacing that , if it blows again, you have to get it to the dealer 2008-10-06_132722_1.png

Ford expediton 2003 would start try 10 min later start up by the light inside truck is'nt working, the gas, speedometer, backup aid, windows.
Either the fuse is bad, or the connection to fuse block is bad which is common, or lastly, a faulty ECM
