I kept getting the P0507 code. I've replaced the TPS, pcv valve, and idle conrol valve, as well as all my vacuum lines. When I drive and reach around 20mph and over, and completely take my foot off of the gas, the Jimmy maintains the speed. Also, the rpms will not drop below 1000rpm unless I brake and bring the vehicle to a complete stop. And when i go to brake the vehicle seems to "fight" with me for a twitch, like it wants to keep driving, probably from the rpms not dropping manually. Is there something I'm missing? Is there a way to reset the idle? What else could it be?
Hard to exsplain on a little box like this . I think you have a air intake leak. try spraying some either around the throttle body and intake manifold see if the idle speed increases. if that's does nothing replace the electric throttle control actuator [motor ] make sure the plugin is on good and clean on the old one first .erase the code and adjust the idle. idle should be on the linkage going to the throttle body move it with your hand you will see a screw you can turn to let it open more or not open as much. if the throttle body is dirty clean it with carb cleaner spray do this first clean the throttle body it may be causing the linkage to stick. sorry about the order I exsplained things start with cleaning then do the either then the actuator then adjust idle and clear code. .
Remove the EGR valve and inspect the pintle for debris ( chunks of carbon) hanging it open , this will create a vacuum leak and cause a higher than normal idle.
