SOURCE: how do I remove rear brake drums from a 2005 ford
Let off the e-brake, just block the wheels first.
SOURCE: need to change the wing mirror on my ford focus c max but dont know how
remove the plastic cover directly behind the mirror on the inside of the door, it just clips off normally with a flat blade or knife (Blunt knife if possible as a sharp one may cut the upholstery)
Once removed you should be able to see the retaining bolts that hold the mirror to the door.
If you have electric mirrors there should be a multi wire electrical plug you will have to disconnect before removing the mirror.
Hope this helps
SOURCE: I want to fit a towbar to my ford focus hatch 2008
Pop the Hatchback open and remove the connectors
from the top of the bumper cover.
Optional Step: Using a Floor Jack, raise both sides
of the car in the back, supporting both sides with
jack stands, and remove the rear wheels.
Using Torx Bits, remove the inner rear wheel well
lining.
Get behind the rear wheel well and loosen the bolts
holding the bumper brackets on. They're pretty
difficult to find and remove. Be Patient. Do the
same to the other side.
Remove the rear bumper cover by pulling the cover
outward from the part nearest the wheel on both
sides. Once removed, take off the 2 black mounting
brackets from the bumper cover.
SOURCE: I cannot get the side
- Adjust the mirror so the mirror glass is in as far as it will go (meaning if you were looking in the mirror you would see the side of the truck)
- Look inside the mirror housing
- Locate silver clip
- Using a flat screw driver, push the clip in
- Lenses will pop out on the outside
- Remove bulb
- Replace bulb
- Snap back together when new bulb in place.
SOURCE: I need instructions on how to replace the mirror
This is how the glass shops in my area do it. Clean all the glass out of the mirror carefully. Don't want stitchs. Clean all the old glue off with a knife or razor blade and wash it with window cleaner. Wash the back of the new mirror as well with window cleaner. Put a liberal coat of silicone adhesive on the back of the new mirror and press it into place. Place a small block of wood or plastic on the mirror face and tape it on with black electrical tape. Stretch the tape as you wrap it around, make about 2 complete wraps. Do this on the inside and outside of the new mirror and leave it for 24 hours. Then you simply remove the tape and blocks and nobody will know the difference. Hope this helps. You could also get a auto glass shop to do it. It's not especially expensive. Hope this helps.
