I would need to hear the noise to tell you what It might be for sure. Does it have an aftermarket alarm system maybe? if so the beeps may be the signal it is armed/disarmed. If it only beeps and no other issue then just drive it and leave it alone.
Without knowing exactly what the beeping noise is, if it is an electronic beep it could be a signal that your power steering fluid is low. When pressure (the steering wheel turning), is put on the system, if it is clogged or has low fluid it will strain the system and you get more of a squeal but Lexus could have a beeping to notify you The fluid is low. If you check the fluid and it is at the right level than your system needs a flush. It's about $80 at Jiffy Lube
1. Keep you foot on the break and turn the car on.
2. Press the odometer/trip button until your dash displays the odometer mileage.
3. Turn the car off and while keeping your foot on the break, restart the car by pressing the on button.
4. Immediately press and hold down the Odometer/trip button for at least 10 seconds.
5. While still holding down the Odometer/trip button put the car in reverse. You will hear the reverse beeping. Then push the park button.
6. You can now release the Odometer/trip button and if you keep pushing the button you can toggle the beep to come on or turn off by looking on your dash. It should say "b-on" or "b-off".
7. Toggle it to the "b-off" setting and put your car in reverse and that annoying beep should be turned off.
Same as the Ford Ranger. The Airbag Interlock for turning the Passenger side air bag off has a burned out light. You can dismantle this unit and replace the light with one from ford but it has to be soldered in place.
Hi Laura,, You'll need to take the vehicle and have a diagnostic scan carried out. The warning is because something is wrong and if it is something that is not obvious, you need to find out what is being reported. Regards John
The airbag malfunction indicator light on the instrument cluster might be the culprit. Turn on the ignition key check whether the airbag light if present. The airbag light shld be on for about 6 sec then turns off if there are no faults found. If the bulb is busted the beeping sound will warn the driver for five consecutive beeps. wear your seatbelts also.
