I had compressor and Accumalator as well as the small filter on firing wall replaced by people who called themselves mechanics. I bought a rebuilt compressor from auto zone as I am a disabled Priest with limited money. The mechanics told me they flushed the lines but I do not think so. They made me buy everything in advance such as freon and they asked for nothing to flush the lines. I do not even know what the lines are flushed with. I have the climatic control and the temperature light flashes for about 1 minute after turning the air conditioner on and the air blows semi cool maybe 70 degrees from the vents. try and find an accredited ac specialist that will do a diagnosis for you to tell you what is wrong
flushing is well and good but unnecessary and once the system has been opened , it requires to be vacuumed down for around 1 hour to allow the moisture in the system to boil off
if that is not done then when the liquid gas is allowed to evaporate in the evaporator under the dash , ice forms in the TX valve and it stops the system from working

take the upper radiator hose use a glove and while the car is running squeeze the hose together and see if trys to open in your hand and if it doesn't you have a weak water pump but check the condition of the drive belt and the coolant before you go to the pump

replace the air conditioner relay, its located underneath the hood, you will see the relay center there, look underneath the cap to identify which is the ac relay switch.

Hi that fuse should be a 25 amp and it runs the blower, heater, the day time running lamps, automatic light control and the rear defogger you would have to check each unit at a time what I would do is put a hire fuse and look for smoke on the wiring as soon as iI see whats burning I take the fuse off but you have to be quick and pull out the fuse before any thing burns if not check each unit mention and look for good luck.

you may have a failed blend air door motor/actuator. this part will regulate the amount of air from the heater core depending on the temp setting on your electronic climate control unit. if it has failed, it will be stuck at the temp that it was last set at when it quit working. it is also possible the heater core may be plugged up, but using the gm recommended dexcool coolant and flushing it out every 5 years, it should not be plugged up. you can pull the 2 heater hoses off the heater core on the passenger side of the engine compartment firewall and see if the heater core is the problem. caution-do not use a high pressure air hose to blow through the heater core as this could damage it and cause a leak!

When you say small filter, du you mean the air dryer? Hard to tell whats wrong unless i know what the pressure readings were doing. Another item or tip, spend the money on a brand new compressor. Rebuilt comp. will go away in a very short time. Your other option in the future is to go to a junk yard and buy a compressor for 30-60$. just changed one on my sons car for 60$ from a junkyard and it runs great.. now ask these guys if they checked the orifice tube, More then likely if your old comp went out your orifice tube will be plugged with metal shavings from the comp bearings failing.. Then ask them if they ran a vacuum on your system.. by the way it sounds if you had to provide the freon, then they dont have a recovery machine.. I would suggest going to a reputable a/c shop. sounds like these guys took you for a ride. good luck.
TAKE IT BACK TO THE FOLKS WHO FIXED IT, THERE IS NO WAY FOR US TO KNOW WHAT THEY DID OR DIDN'T DO.
