SOURCE: ac short on 2001 saturn l200

Does the A/C compressor run or does it blow the A/C fuse in the under hood fuse box?? If it's blowing the fuse you might have a bad A/C diode located in the underhood fuse block. It looks like a black fuse with a diagram on top of it.Pull it out & replace it & see if the problem is gone. These L series are notorius for having compressor problems, locking up,clutch coils going open.hope this helps

SOURCE: 2000 Saturn SL1, need to locate low pressure

The gauge only fits one port so you can't hook it up incorrectly basically. It wasn't always that way. The old days with r-12 you could make a mistake but car manufacturers finally did something about it. I know the first time it's a little scary, but after you do it,no problem. Have fun!

SOURCE: AC booster recharge hook-up

You can only attach the the recharge hose from the kit to the low side ( A/C service port) and the cap should be blue with a leter L on it. Good luck and follow the instruction and don't over charge the system. With the AC on the coldest setting, use a thermometer in a middle vent. Normal vent temperature readings will vary depending on the (ambient) outside temp. The vent temperature should range from around 42-55 degrees in my experience. If normal gauge readings are obtained and the vent air is cold - STOP don’t overcharge the system. The only proper way to remove refrigerant is with a AC recovery machine so if this is being done at home I can’t emphasize enough not to over charge the system. And actually the best way to insure the proper charge is in a system, is to use an AC machine to recover the R134a and then evacuate and recharge the system with the correct amount. Most cars have the specified amount on a decal under the hood.  Good luck and hope this helps.

SOURCE: where is the low pressure ac port on a 2001 saturn

It will be located on the large line that runs between the a/c compressor and the fire wall. I believe it will have a black cap on it. Check the accumulator canister, it may be located on it.
Make sure you use the port on the large line.
Let me know.

There is a high and low side pressure switch that disconnects the power to the compressor clutch if the refrigerant charge is too high or too low.

Location of low pressure AC port.

THE LOW PRESSURE LINE IS THE LARGER DIAMETER LINE OF THE TWO AC LINES. IT IS THE LINE (SUCTION) THAT ENTERS THE CABIN AT THE FIREWALL SOMEWHERE ON THAT LINE IS THE CHARGING PORT

Where is the ac low pressure port located on a 2000 chevy s10?

It's the port on the accumulator. The silver tank attached to your fan box. The low side of your a/c system is always going to be the larger hose.

Where is the low pressure AC port on a 2000 mercury sable

it will be in the larger pipe near the compressor or in the line at an accessible point.. The low pressure is the suction line from inside the car to the compressor.

I am trying to troubleshoot my 2002 saturn l200. My AC is not working. The button light comes on, but I feel the compressor not coming on. I check the fuse and it's ok?

most likely you are low on freon and the pressure switch will not allow the compressor clutch to engage. one way to tell if that is what is happening is to find the pressure switch located on the low pressure side of the system. you can tell witch line is the low pressure side because it is larger in diameter than the high side. Then take a wire and jump the two wires that go to the switch together. If the compressor starts to run then charge the system with freon. If it does not run then check the relay.

I am trying to locate the low pressure port on my 2000 Saturn LS. there is no cap on the only visible and accessible port I see. It is located in the front of the engine compartment (passenger side) but...

The high pressure port is much larger than the low pressure port. It is impossible to hook a charging hose to the wrong port. If the charging hose is leaking, it is either because it is not clicked all the way on the port or the charging hose connector is defective.

The high pressure port is located on the discharge hose just to the rear (driver's side) of the A/C compressor.

2000 ford taurus low end ac valve

please rate as fixed if this helps you.

The low pressure service gauge port valve is located on the evaporator to accumulator/drier suction line.

The evaporator to accumulator/drier suction line contains low pressure refrigerant gas and is equipped with a serviceable low pressure A/C charge valve port.

AC has stopped blowing cold air. Compressor is working. Where is the recharge valve located?

There are two A/C refrigerant lines. The small line is your high pressure line and the larger line is your low pressure line.
Start at the fire wall and follow the "large " low pressure line to the compressor. The low pressure charge port will be some where on that line.
DO NOT try to recharge on the high pressure side ( small line )
Good luck, let me know.
