Assuming no service engine light on? If so begin there. Otherwise it sounds like fuel pump could be bad, but you'll need to install a pressure gauge to verify - that's the only way to be certain. Compare pressure with spec. for your vehicle. You'll likely hear the pump as most fuel pumps continue to run but just don't produce the pressure necessary for operation. In fact, due to improper fuel filter service, many pumps actually get louder when bad. Before spending money on a pump, borrow a gauge and verify pressures. Many auto parts stores now days (such as O'Rilley) loan tools (with deposit) for testing and repair.
