The problem occurred after an accident. I recently heard a noise coming from the fuse box under the hood as I was about to remove the battery pole. On checking the dashboard check light, I realised the check light came on. Is this an indication that the problem originates from the fuse box?

First thing to test would be the thermostat. If this is stuck open the engine would never reach correct temperature.
