2005 chrysler pacifica engages into 1st wont engage into any other gears

If it is that bad see a local Chrysler dealer service dept.

05 Chrysler pacifica is a 4 speed automatic, next time buy a car with a 5 speed automatic

This is not going to be a DIY fix. Get it to a transmission shop.

The symptoms & mileage is enough to tell
you it is time for a rebuild
Being a former police vehicle ,I would have
rebuilt the trans as soon as I got it,working okey
or not.

REBUILD TRANNY, ALL NEW 15 MORE YEARS

The shifter needs to be inspected. The shifter assembly is got misaligned, it has to be open and realign.

There are many other possibilities. But if it was working right up till now and suddenly this occurred then its shifter assembly alignment issue.

Could possibly be a clogged fuel filter. Try changing the fuel filter.

can you hear anything engageing when you put it in gear?

Try to check the trans mission gears of your 1995 jeep grand cherokee.The shift fork and the clutch sleeve of the trans mission is locking to the other gears .And then also check the starter motor and its solenoid.if the starter motor solenoid is destroyed or worn out replace .

maybe has a broken linkage or the bolt came lose.
Check if you can engage hall the gears pushing the linkage by hand,engine ranning and same one pressing the clutch!that way you can have same idea wath is wrong?!
