if it is a new car ,then the explanation is in the owners hand book
When you start a car the ECM does a series of checks of all the sensors to ensure that all is ok so that you can proceed
This takes a second or 2 and in most cars the engine light stays on then when the check is completed it goes out
what you have could be the ECM doing the checks and it is reporting to you instead of a light
the "check active" may be the checking in progress
If you do not have the book I suggest that you find the service dealer for the car and have it explained to you just to be sure

The oil filter is mounted on the crankshaft pulley end of the engine near the drive-shaft inner joint. Access from below and the filter is of the cartridge type. Before removing the filter housing cap drain the oil from the housing via the bleed valve on the underside of the housing. When refitting the filter use new o-rings.

There is a possibility that your fuel transfer pump has quit and fuel is getting to your engine by gravity only. Have your tranfer pump flow rate tested. Also renew your primary fuel filter.

Call the Fiat dealer and get the parts department. Tell them whats happening and ask if they offer a stronger plunger. If they dont, call a high performance auto parts store and ask if they have a racing clutch master cylinder. If they do, go look at it and see if its the same plastic plunger. It should be a heavy duty plunger.
