Been driving in 2d-R ok but 3d and drive just Reves in 3d and dr over 22mph.Trans fluid is clean -man shift goes into each gear with click,3 and dr work a mile or so every time - trans fluid is full and clean - misfire one plug, No trans P's from Computer Trans lite on after about 10 min .Any help appreciated thx
You may have a broken band or a bad solenoid. most parts stores can tell you what the code is did you change trans filter

The trans in your vehicle is a 4L30E.The check,and fill plugs are in the pan.The fluid has to be checked after the vehicle is fully warmed up,engine running,in Park.The hard to shift into 2nd gear is kind of difficult to say,check the level,maybe have it scanned for trouble codes esp. if check engine is lit.Those particular transmissions have one weak area,and thats the Low gear,or first gear band and drum.That causes a symptom of slip and chatter on takeoff from a complete stop.

i have same problem. get ready to pay around 2400+. as a matter of fact mine is in the shop right now. you cannot check the fluid yourself. it's up under the bottom. no dip-stick. its a joke, i have a 99 rodeo. will drive it long enough to get my 2400 out of it and then its a gonner !!!! sounds like it is going to create alot of problems if i keep it.

With the car in Park - engine running at operating temperature on level ground - check the dipstick. You should see a grid on the end of the stick showing normal operating range. If it is low use a small funnel and pour the fluid into the dipstick tube. Don't overfill it.
