Rear end issue

The starter is separate from the soleniod; It could be a part called the bendix on the starter itself. If you can remove it, take it to a auto parts store- they will check it for free.

there is a plug on the shaft-side of the differential. Using a ratchet remove the plug and with the engine OFF, stick your finger inside the hole and you should get fluid just below the threads of where the plug goes in.

Removing and replacing is not the problem, easy job. Changing the springs is the only problem. Make sure you are very careful when removing springs. Better to have a parts store do it for you. If you do decide to change yourself just make sure clamps are tight and take your time to follow directions exactly. Be careful, good luck and have a great day.

steering column bearing sounds like a worn out steering column... jack the front wheels off the ground both sides relieve load on steering wheel to see if it lessens the amount of feel and noise, if it does it shoud be the column bearing, replace bearings or complete column,,, also try with the wheels off the ground and safely supported to manualy steer the wheels by hand and see if you feel in roughness or hear any noises,should some minor resistance but be smooth in it movement if everything suspension and steering component wise is in good working condition... please rate my help.. thanks...

the easiest way will be to take it 2 a subaru dealer or an auto electriction and get them 2 remove the alarm..but you could dissconnect and un bolt the external alarm siren..
