For engine to run it has to have:
Fuel, air and spark.
So if it doesn't start, something's missing.
Is your fuel pressure OK? Is your spark present? Is ECM firing injectors?
Check all those basics and I'm sure you'll find what's wrong.
Its the same as a chevy v8 pull radeator fan water pump lower crank pully loosen oil pan bolts align timing marks crank mark at 12 oclock cam cshaft mark at 6 oclock replace with new gears and chain timing cover gasket crank seal and water pump gaskets
Could me one of many things , but because you said the engine didn't even make a click , I am going to suggest that you make sure the gear shifter is fully in park ( if automatic trans ) , it won't start if not in park. If manual trans , it won't start if it thinks the clutch is not depressed. Could also be an anti-theft device has kicked in. Good Luck
You should loose a little through the lines and the filter itself. When you replace the filter, turn your key on and wait about 6 seconds before cranking. This will allow the fuel pump to force fuel through the empty new filter. You will still experience a small delay when cranking until the air passes through the line.
