Best thing I can tell u is check for sensors if bad or not, most time is ur O2 sensor, or cat sensor under ur car. but do make sure ur spark plugs is not bad. any thing the engine break inside, better off buy a new car. it should the car near it age.

Misfires can be from the ignition circuit ( coil/s HT leads -plugs) and it can also be from injectors (low fuel pressure -faulty injectors - leaking injector washers --wiring to injectors).

SOURCE: Random Cylinder Misfire

Get a Haynes manual for your vehicle and use the troubleshooting guide there.  about $20 from amazon, auto parts store or haynes.com.  This WILL save you time and shortcut this and any future diagnosis. Haynes IMHO are top notch and I like them better than some factory service manuals that fgo for $100 and more.

David, 99 Saturn,  Cam position sensor codes seem to indicate a engine timing (not spark, but crankshaft/camshaft sync).  Old timing belts or worn tensioners can cause belts to jump a tooth or two which can have a pretty dramatic effect.  The belt could also be old/dryrot and have lost a tooth or two causing it to jump.  If any of these are the case, or if the timing belt interval is near,  replace timing belt, tensioner, idler roller if present and water pump.  FYI, quality OEM ignition wires shold last at least 10 years.  If they are really bad, you can open the engine compartment on a dark night and you will see sparks arcing between them and/or something metal nearby.  We all replace wires when we are not sure what the problem is, and regardless of what anyone tells you, it only rarely solves anything unless the car is more than 10 years old.

good luck.

SOURCE: I have a 2000 Saturn

Have you tested the camshaft or crank sensor, often at times these two can get a little wily and intermittently malfunction.

SOURCE: 2003 SATURN VUE SERIVE ENGINE SOON LIGHT IS

The P0304 indicates the #4 cylinder is misfiring. The flashing light means the cylinder is not firing at all...It could be several things causeing it, coil, wires, plug, injector or vacuum leak. Do not drive your vehicle until you have this repaired, as it will lead to further more costly problems. Good luck, i hope this helps.

The code 300 is a Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire....a 302 is Cylinder # 2 misfire detected. ..and the same for 304 and 306..being 304 is cylinder 4 misfire and 306 is cylinder 6 misfire...All these at the same time normally is a faulty coil pack..,and or faulty coils...spark plugs.,plug wires.....It should be running horribly or barely ....However it could be internal losing compression.....It could just need a good tune up.....Disconnect battery before changing coils,wires..,or plugs in order to clear the fault codes.....

Mini cylinder 4 misfire code po304, used code

you need to check cylinder 4 plug and injector function, ignition coil, as it could be an intermitant problem. check for a vacuum leak in the area of cyl 4 if these appear good then you will have to check to see if there is a PCM problem.

Engine lite on--code 304--also reader says-- cylinder 4 misfire--multiple

Could be a spark plug or fuel injector. Replace the spark plug first because it's cheaper. Is the car making any strange noises or doing anything unusual?

2006 ford freestar po304

Code 300 is a random miss not serious enough to peg a cylinder, code 302 is for cylinder 2 and code 304 is cylinder 4. Code 402 is for an EGR flow problem.
Its possible the EGR problem is causing the missfires. The computer sets the 300 codes when RPM drops on a cylinder. The computer does not know why. So it could be spark, fuel, compression, or a vac leak.

Engine cranks but wont start has an obd p 300 &p304 help me

P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected, the 304 is for cylinder number 4 any of these could be wrong If there are symptoms such as the engine is stumbling or hesitating, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the cylinders (i.e. spark plugs). Depending on how long the ignition components have been in the car, it may be a good idea to replace them as part of your regular maintenance schedule. I would suggest spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor (if applicable). Otherwise, check the coils (a.k.a. coil packs). In some cases, the catalytic converter has gone bad. If you smell rotten eggs in the exhaust, your cat converter needs to be replaced. I've also heard in other cases the problems were faulty fuel injectors. Random misfires that jump around from one cylinder to another (read: P030x codes) also will set a P0300 code. The underlying cause is often a lean fuel condition, which may be due to a vacuum leak in the intake manifold or unmetered air getting past the airflow sensor, or an EGR valve that is stuck open

1998 Toyota T 100 6 cyl. 2 wheel drive Autozone found Error codes 300,304,306 listed with them as: 300 multiple misfire 304 cylinder 4 misfire 306 cylinder 6 misfire Chilton's Toyota list as: 304...

I would go with the ones autozone gave to you.then I would check the coil packs for those 2 cylinders and see if that's the problem. If that ain't the problem then I would check the crank sensor

Codes read PO335, PO304, PO336 i need to know what they are for, Please !!

304 is misfire on cylinder #4. #4 is the middle cylinder on the driver's side.
The other 2 relate to the crankshaft sensor:

P0335 Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor -

possible causes: circuit malfunction Wiring, CKP sensor, ECM

P0336 Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor - range/performance problem
possible causes: insecure sensor/rotor, air gap, wiring, CKP sensor

Is the car running? If yes, check for a loose connector on the crank sensor. You may need to take the connector off and see if there is any corrosion on the terminals. If yes, do your best to clean with a small screwdriver and/or electrical parts cleaner.

From what I can tell, the sensor is on the bottom of the engine near the idler arm, but it has a long pigtail such that the connector is on top of the engine by the fuel rail. See pictures below.

for the misfire,

Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6715318-causes_gasoline_engine_misfires . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.
