Ticking noise usually but not always is from the head--valves-usually a rocker arm starved for oil or bent clogged push rod check oil if black and thin can cause tick also extreme cold can cause -because oil thickened sometimes goes away when warmed up-same noise /check oil pressure extreme problem oil pump failing or clogging --timing belt can cause a ticking but they usually fail-- break causing major problem ----other area to check are the pulleys and bearings in witch the belt rolls on-- alternator can also cause a tick when bearing is failing --

It may have gotten debris(leaves and such) stuck in the fan/blower housing. If it sounds like a bike with a piece of paper on the rhim(rattle), then that most likely the case.to get rid of it, you need to pull the whole blower housing out to clean it thoroughly.

Your battery is flat!! get some one to jump you or give you a push. You need go to a garage to see if your alternator is charging. Your battery may be to blame. Check the alternator 1st as it will cost nothing or next to nothing as a battery is quite expensive. Hope this helps. If it still clicks with a fresh charge or jump leads then give the starter motor a tap wit a hammer while trying to start it.
