On a 2002 chev avalanche i just need to know which 2 wires in the group of 5 is for the mat sensor

I assume you are looking for the wiring for the IAT because MAT sensors are no longer used..

here you go

black / white - PCM ground
pink - fused 12-volts
yellow - MAF signal
tan - IAT sensor signal
black - IAT sensor ground

manifold temp. sensors are no loner used.

I believe you are looking for the IAT "intake air temp sensor" which is part of the mass air flow sensor.

    it is part of the mass air flow sensor. in the intake tube between the air filter and throttle body

I cant get the drop the fuel tank on my 2002 chev avalanche

There are to straps and the filler hose and the vent hose and a wiring harness. You may have to lower the rear first. Also that model may have the EVAP canister mounted to the tank.

knock sensors are not worth replacing. Most of the time the knock sensor is just reacting to somthing else causing it to react.
