At 50+ mph my driver side wiper goes too far and swipes right of the windshield and make a loud slapping noise. At 75+mph the wiper will actually swipe so far that it will extend its swipe right off of the car and then pop back on. Can I fix this without taking apart the entire dash board? And whether or not I have to take apart the dash board, what do I have to do when I get to the wiper motor?
Dont know the car BUT of all the different cars i have seen there are alot built like the following. you can remove the entire arm from the stud . most likely yours is made with a plastic cap covering a nut inside on the post the arm mounts to. a small flat screw driver should suffice to remove the plastic cap ( most likely you will need a 10mm socket to remove the nut) remove the cap and the nut. pull off the arm straight up off the post. notice the splined grooves on the post. put the arm back in place slightly in a better position on the splines and re install the nut and cap.
I hope this helps. I hope your is built this way because it would be a fast easy fix.
