You have 2 tranny problems 1 fuel problem and one ignition coil problem. You say you wiggle the wires and it works by fails later. Have you tried disconnecting the computer and inspecting the connections. If all looks good reconnect it and try to stabilize it the best you can. Once that is checked fix the fuel and ignition coil problems. If you clear them up move along to the tranny

p0783 is a generic code for 3-4 shift, it will be set off any time the actual gear is not consistant with gear shift position can be caused by faulty solenoid, loose/shorted solenoid connector, even low trans fluid
