SOURCE: My 2000 Ford Ranger keeps showing codes PO 171 and

These codes mean that the oxygen sensor is reading too "Lean" on both the left and right cylinder banks and the engine control system can't compensate any further to solve the problem. You may have a dirty or failing Mass Airflow Sensor that is miscalcuating the amount of airflow the engine is taking in which in turn can cause both of these codes to set. If the sensor is reporting less air than the engine is actually taking in then the engine computer will add only the amount of fuel it should based on what it was told by the sensor which will cause both cylinder banks to run "lean". There could be something else going on such as having two bad oxygen sensors [very rare] but I do see these two codes together quite often and usually its the sensor that is causing it. Hope this helps a bit!

SOURCE: ford ranger engine codes P0171 &P0174 ?

Hi hope I can help.
P0171 mean bank 1 is to lean
P0174 means bank 2 is lean
You did not state what engine you have but by your codes you must have the V6 4.0.
These codes refer to a fuel issue. bank 1 and bank two represent each of your manifolds.
being you have a V6 you have 2 manifolds.
Each of your manifold have an O2 sensor in it. That's what is giving the lean reading.
This does not mean that you have bad O2 sensors.
They are just doing there job.
So you should check your fuel pressure with a gauge and make sure your pressure is correct.
It seams as your fuel pump maybe weak.
Hope this helps.

How do you read the odb on my 92 ford ranger? Need help !!!

That would be OBD 1. Turn key on then off four times quickly. The check engine light will flash pause then flash again. Count the first set of flashes makes first number then second set second number. Each code is two numbers. The first code is always 12 means computer is working. The other codes r fault codes.

Code p1537 foe a 2002 ford ranger 2.3 engine

P1537 - Intake Manifold Runner Control Stuck Open.

You might want to look at the IMRC valve. It is probably sticking from carbon build up? Use top engine cleaner and clean the air plenum.

Once you have done this clear the codes and go for a ride. About 30 miles should do it. If you have anymore codes it will come back up.

1992 ford ranger will not crank- the starter will turn it over but never start. when i trung the key can hear the fuel pump turn on - added fuel still nothing . been a great truck since 92- what do i need...

Check for spark. No spark can be from the coil, igntion module, crank sensor. Have the codes check, this will at least point you in the right direction.

How would i get a 2001 ford ranger 2.3 l 16 valve to stop shutting off at 92 mph

Your saying that if you exceed 92mph the engine just shuts down (off)? Does your engine light go on? If so can you retrieve any codes? You may want to inspect the trucks repair history. See when the last tune-up was done. Including the fuel-filter. Also look at the fuel-line pressure. See if the wiring to the crank positioning sensor is covered in oil and-or is on good shape. The more information the better.
