98 dodge avenger p1391 code, had no start first with no code and replaced dist..didnt fix it..then replace crank sensor and that worked..ben running fine for a year..now all of sudden runs crappy and...

Check connections to crank sensor, then reset your comp by disconnecting your battery cables and holding them together. Make sure to have the code cleared as well.

Car is hesitating have error code p1391 check engine light is on what does this code mean it is not in the book I just put a crank posistion sensor and that fixed it ,now it is doing it again only worse...

p1391 is intermitant loss of signal from crank sensor and cam sensor--change sensors!! change cam sensor first. good luck!! then try it, if still same way. change crank sensor.
