Power windows how to rep[ace power window motor

all windows dead, not told, and and down both dead?
did not check all fuse first even the GAUGE fuse. blown?
relay marked MAIN ,is missing or not energized, if not , windows will be dead.

NO RHD HERE NOR HI ACE IN USA.
SO NO BOOKS.
MOST CARS HAVE CB FOR THAT A LARGE AUTORESETTING CIRCUIT BREAKER .
YES THE FUSE BOXES ON RHD CARS ARE NOT LIKE LHD.
WISE YOU ARE STATING IT AND RARE HERE.
THERE ARE 3 WAYS TO GET THIS DATA.
BUY THE SERVICE MANUAL
FROM DEALER
OR GOOGLE IT.<<<my post is only based off google finds. period.
OR LOOK FOR CB IN ALL FUSE BOXES. THEY ARE LABELED. ON 99%

Are all windows dead for up and down.?
all door controls switches dead, for windows, left and right cab?
if yes ,sure the CB is bad.
car engine starts and runs ok
all other electrics work ok. ???? is the gauges in cluster working too?
just windows all dead?
back in 94 ,no BCM brain here, just wires ,switches and fuses. (and win motors)

get the truck serviced in a shop.the guy with a voltmeter there knows what to do .
for sure.
watch out some TOY use fuseable link for windows. get the manual first.
on some years that old. or CB.30-amp./

window motors use lots of power. all windows up (button) on ICEd up day
uses huge currents.
so the power feed has huge relay, there. called PWR relay
and a huge fuse feeding windows controls.
this current high does not pass through the ignition switch wrecking it
'it sources from PWR relay. safe and sure.

30amps rated or more. this relay and its fuse.
Hi ACE.
example 1.

top right fuse a CB 30amp
the left fuse is GAUGE fuse, if blown MAIN relay is dead. 7.5amp fuse
i key on and check 12vdc at relay pin 3 below. output side.
if dead, then bad fuses or relay ,. or bad ground left.

It's not the BCM ,more then likely it's that windows switch .

IF THE SWITCH IS BROKEN YOU CANNOT RAISE OR LOWER THE WINDOW you need to see why it isn't working it could be a faulty relay you will need a test light you can obtain one at any ACE hardware or auto parts jobber, remove your door panel and turn on your ignition and test the positive lead to the window motor if you are getting power do the same to your ground wire just hook your test light to a power source and check your grounds if your good there then you may suspect a faulty motor if you have no power or ground its going to be before your motor so move to your switch panel then to the relays I would most likely say do to having repaired several hundred of these over the past 35 years of doing this it fell on the window motor relay being at fault. The relay wears out or gets corroded do to the circuit getting deposits built up on it and it goes bad the best thing you can do is purchase a Chilton's manual on your year of automobile Chilton's has the best wire schematics and it makes it really easy for the do it yourselfer to fix your automobile. Pick up a 12v test light it going to cost you 5 to 10 bucks for a good one and take your time and check all your power sources and grounds. Hope I was some help good luck

If everything is ok then use a code reader to reset the CPU

POWER WINDOWS NOT WORKING & POWER WINDOW/REGULATOR ISSUES

It can be issue with motor itself. If it's not going up, then how its working down. But still it feels like weak window motor or is issue with power window switch. Get the voltage tested at switch and motor. Also try another working window motor at not working window side.

You have to remove the inner door panel to
access the window regulator

You remove the regulator & then the motor from it

You Tube Video will provide a visual of several
similar window motor replacement jobs

Go there-- enter your car,question ,details,etc--- then move
around the site to watch various things

It can be issue with motor itself.If its not going up,then how its working down.But still it feels like weak window motor or is issue with power window switch.Get the voltage tested at switch and motor.Also try another working window motor at not working window side.

it's located on the switch panel on the drivers door. you have one switch for each window, and one for the power locks. the remaining switch is for the window lockout. press it down & release it. the other windows should now work!

The cables that are running the window have snaped. You can get a rep[lacement window regulator from the dealer or check out a company named dorman they have them for lees then half price of the dealer
