Headlight will not turn off

I suspect an open circuit on the powered side grounding therefore keeping on the lights or a bad headlamp switch they have been known to fail hope this helps u

Could be as simple as the park light fuse is blown.

Could be the headlight switch.
The switch has two sets of contacts for the parking lights, the park position and headlight position.
You may need to check the circuit at the switch to see if you are loosing power when the switch is moved from park to head.

Check with Toyota to see if there is a recall for the head light switch. The same thing happened with my Corolla and it was the switch.

THE AUTOMATIC LIGHT SENSOR COULD BE FAULTY.

CHECK HEAD LIGHT RELAY STICKING /FUSE BOX

Turn the headlight switch to the off position (not auto) and depress the overhead light button, located just below the cargo light switch, several times ( 3-5 times) until you hear a bell then the headlight switch actually works as indications show around the knob.

YEP ALL TODAY CARS COME FROM THE FACTORY WITH DAY TIME RUNNING LIGHTS WHICH STAY ON WHILE YOU DRIVING.IF LIGHTS STAY ON WITH ENGINE OFF YOU HAVE A FAULTY DRL RELAY OR DAY TIME RUNNING LIGHTS RELAY.YOU COULD HAVE TURN ON HEAD LIGHTS MANUALLY FROM THE SWITCH.WHICH WILL CAUSE HEAD LIGHTS TO STAY ON.

that happened to me too you have to switch out the the hole blinker head light switch. i got one at a junk yard for $22 my lights havent asted up since
