The key will open the trunk manually. I have tried replacing the battery in the key and that has not worked (the red light blinks when I push a button so I know the remote has power). I can't get into the car to try to reprogram the key to the car.

sounds like the drivers side key switch has failed remove the interior door panel and there will be a switch attached to the back of the key lock cylinder or around there it should be two or three wires also check the door jamb wire harness where the door closes for any broken or damaged wires, use a vot meter and see if you get power or ground to the opposite side of the switch when you use the key to lock and unlock the door if nothing changes and there is power or ground! at this switch i would replace it, i don't think there is one but if the car has a passenger side key hole try to unlock the car from that side and see if you get the same problem -jeff

You will probably need to replace the power door lock actuator.
Here's a link to one similar to yours.

I had someone come out and break into my car for me, the power locks do not work and when I turn the key in the ignition nothing happens...I tried to jump the car but when I connect the cables it sets off the car alarm. I'm thinking the anti theft system has been activated is there a way to reset it?
