An intermitten problem turned into a "no start, no run", occasionally when running car, it would suddenly lose power, and only idle(high idle), and the only way to get car home was to let it sit for two to four hours, and then would start, and run for an unknown amount of time. and hours, days even a week would even pass before would act up. Now it simply won't start and won't run. I checked codes, just flashes a "12" . manual says system without fault code, and ready. At the fuel pressure test port by motor, I pressed shrader core in while ignition was off, and there was pressure, and then had the key turned on while holding the core in. and there was no fuel being pressured in line until the motor was turning over, is this a normal thing with an elec. fuel pump in the gas tank? 1995 Saturn SL2 1.9 L.

It sounds like there is no pressure in the fuel rail. The cause is the fuel pump is not working. I had one like that and the pump was running but not pumping. Check to see if the FP is putting out.
Good luck.
look like shorted out cluster (intrument panel) get a second hand one its cheaper or body control module when it does the car dont start or goes good if it doesnt start bcm if it run bad cluster good luck pierre
check electric fuel pump operation ( located in the fuel tank ). Occasionally a fuel pump will burn out when running out of fuel, due to the fact the pump runs DRY for about 30 seconds till the fuel stops flowing out of the injectors, the engine quits, simultainously losing oil pressure which FINALLY shuts off the fuel pump. Sometimes TOO LATE. Hope this helps
Try the fuel injection relay they are located under the hood. They blow out every few years on my Volvo. The car starts to quit all of the sudden. It is either red or green colored. It is located in the fuse box under the hood.
many times when a fuel pump starts to fail it fails intermittenly and then it just wont work at all. so it may be your fuel pump. because it still cranks strong then it's not the battery. it may also be loose wireing to and from your distributer. that could explain why it works intermittently. when the wire barely connect it works and as you drive they my loose contact. make sure all the connections to and from the distributer are not loose. you may need to change those cables as well.
