Check engine light wont go off 1986 totota p/u

I do not have a manual for this truck but if you can hook up a scanner, then do that inorder to narrow down the problem area. Check to make sure all vacuum hoses are connected and not leaking. Check all fuses. It could be oxygen sensor. Reset check engine light. Let me know and I can find out some more info.
