Question about 1997 Dodge Dakota
Ok i just bought a 1997 dodge dakota sport and it always dies when i take my foot off the gas or slow down at a stop sign, then i just realized last night that the oil gage drops before the engine dies. iT DROPS to 0 and comes right back up as i start accelerating again. but once im idling or slowing down it drops again and the truck dies again. could these 2 problems be related and what are somethings that it could be?

Old oil can do that as it gets too thin, filter blocked.
Wrong grade of oil can also cause that or worn pump/bearings.
