My Jeep Cherokee Limited 2004 is draining the battery when off. The Car heater/ac fan runs constantly and the interior lights stay on. When I jumped the car, the engine died when not pumping the acc

It seems that all the utilities stay on when car is off, not just the blower fan, but the lights also.

SOURCE: electric fans runs after car is shut off, drains battery

Having the fan run on for a bit after the engine has stopped is not abnormal in itself, but 20 minutes sounds excessive.

If the fan does eventually shut off, I'd consider changing the thermoswitch (this is a sensor screwed into the radiator somewhere near the bottom, with a pair of wires connected to it - to change it, you'll need to drain the cooling system).

If the fan stays on continuously until the battery is completely flat, see what happens when you unplug the wires from the thermoswitch. If this stops the fan, you need to replace the thermoswitch. If it doesn't, then you need to examine the wiring associated with the switch and the fan, looking for damaged insulation.

SOURCE: 1993 jeep grand cherokee limited no running lights/tail lights.

Id look at the headlight switch and do some voltage tests to see whats coming out of there. Pay close attention to any wires which look like someone was in there already.People can mess stuff up faster and better than the vehicle can by itself!

SOURCE: 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0L 6cyl: Radiator fan

there is a solid state fan relay located under the passenger side headlight assembly. There are two ways to get at it. Either you can tear apart the entire front of the vehicle or you can remove the passenger side headlamp assembly and carefully drill a hole about in the middle of the opening and down towards the ground. Look in the hole you drilled you should be able to see the relay. Continue drilling/cutting until you have a hole just large enough to get the old relay out and a new one in. The hole will be covered by the headlamp and has become the preferred method of replacing since they are so common and removing the entire front assembly is so time consuming.

I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. If it sits for more than 24 hours it won't start without being jump started. Has a brand new battery. Could it be the starter?

It sounds like you have a major current draw, the alternator may be draining to earth internally . Once you have the engine running you need to check the charge rate from the alternator as it is controlled by the main computer .Also make sure you don't have interior lights such as a vanity mirror or glovebox light stuck on. This will be enough to kill a battery overnight.

Check for a clogged evaporator drain next to firewall. When using the a/c if this drain is clogged then it will cause condensation to back up into the interior of the car.

1997 jeep grand cherokee interior light fuse. Where is it so I can take it out because my interior lights are staying on and going to drain my battery.

Hey there,
Sounds like you may have a bad switch at the door or in the dash on-off switch.
You could also remove the light bulb for a quickie, otherwise the interior light fuse should be in the fuse box: The older vehicles it was under the left side of the dash at the drivers seat (interior of car). Newer vehicles, it would be (typically) in the engine compartment near the drivers side fender wall.

Each morning i habe to jump start the car as the battery does not have enough power. The battery is only 9 mths old. Also the car cut power and the car stopped in the middle of traffic, had to jump start...

Get your alternator checked. You could also have a grounded wire or an interior light is staying on. Check the lights in your sunvisor mirrors, sometimes they fall just a little and allows the light to come on.
