SOURCE: fuse box for 1998 mazda b3000

There are really 2 boxes
Passenger compartment fuse panel
The fuse panel is located on the left
hand side of the instrument panel
facing the driver’s side door. Pull the
panel cover outward to access the
fuses

Power distribution box
The power distribution box is
located in the engine compartment
near the battery. The power
distribution box contains
high-current fuses that protect your
vehicle’s main electrical systems
from overloads.

Try testing the brake switch (it is behind the brake pedal) for 12V and continuity between wires when engaged. You can also try checking the brake light relay. It is located on the fuse block.

i hope this helps

SOURCE: 1986 Toyota Pickup Instrument lights and tail lights out

Even though the relay is activated,I assumed you checked the out put? Also,You checked the voltage at the light sockets? With a meter,or test light ,check the fuse for the cluster lps, adjust them to dim,and to bright, the meter should act accordingly on the fuse.If it does not, replace the dimmer control,or head light switch, witch ever controls them. This may allow continuity to the tail lights as well.If the fuse is dead for the cluster lights, replacing the dimmer control,or head light switch will solve the problem,or,from another fuse ,supply voltage to the cluster lp fuse, one that is only hot with the key on,cause if you do this the dash lights will come on,every time you run the vehicle, day,or night.

No dashlight or rear running lights. brake lights and turn signals still work

Did you check proper fuse circuit for voltage? Use a test light to check for voltage. The tail lamps voltage comes by way of headlamp switch. Voltage for tail lamps is pink wire with blue tracer, goes hot when you turn on headlamp switch. Ground should be ok because the other lamps work.

#9 fuse keeps blowing

If you have a trailer harness, inspect it carefully , possible shorting wires. Most installers use cheesy scotch-locks or butt connectors and don\'t properly insulate them . If ok, remove tail lite assemblies and unplug harnesses from modules , bulb/socket modules common for shorting out.

WHAT CAUSES THE TAIL LIGHTS AND DASHLIGHTS TO GO OUT ON 1983 TOYOTA TRUCK?

GOOD ADVISE--I ALSO LEARNED THAT THERE MAY BE FUSES IN UNDER THE HOOD ALSO. FOUND OUT TODAY THAT IF THE DOME LIGHT DON'T WORK THEN IT'S FUSE COULD BE BLOWN AND HINDER THE CIRCUIT TOO. I'M NOT GOOD ON VOLTAGE READING , BUT DO HAVE A TEST LIGHT. IF NO FIRE AT THE COMMON TAIL LIGT-DASH LIGHT FUSE , THEN THAT MIGHT NARROW IT DOWN. I HAD THE SAME TROUBLE IN MY 1990 FORD XLT LARIAT AND WAS BLOWING THE TAILLIGHT FUSE. IT WAS A SHORT IN THE EXTERNAL TRAILER KIT HARNESS WHICH CAUSED FUSES TO BLOW REGUARLY. WHERE IS RELAY FOR TAILIGHTS AND OTHER FUSES UNDER THE HOOD??

Both tail light do not work but the brake light and back up do

Hi, check fuse 6 inside the Jeep. If the fuse is good, try swapping the relay with a similar one. If this doesn't work, please get back to me for instructions on how to interrogate the relay socket.

Dashlights don't come on. I hit something in the road (ruined a tire) and the tail lights and dash lights went off. I found a burned out fuse that covered the taillights and they now burn but I can't find...

Fuse #34 is detailed as "TAIL", but it also operates the dash lights too. If your dash are not working and the fuse is good the most likely cause would be your dash dimmer switch. If you press on it and the lights come on. Simply replace it.

Check the brake light switch located under the dash, and is energized by depressing the brake pedal.
