Do you know anything about automotive electronic's , control module's etc....
work including the truck.???? trunk ?
Electronic control module ( DDM ) driver door module control's lock's an power windows . Do you have a professional or factory scanner to test for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's ? Do you know what diagnostic pin point testing procedures are ?
Power Locks
The power lock/unlock feature requests all of the vehicle doors to lock or unlock upon a request from the door lock control switch, the RKE keypad, or the RKE transmitter. Power locking and unlocking functions independently of the key position, vehicle speed, or transmission position. The LCM and the DDM activate internal relays to supply the correct power and grounds for the door lock actuators
The DDM receives inputs from the digital transmission range (TR) sensor, ignition switch, brake switch, door lock control switches, lighting control module (LCM), RKE keypad and RKE transmitter. The DDM outputs consists of RKE keypad illumination, door lock actuators, luggage compartment lid release solenoid, and the LCM.
Inspection and Verification
WARNING: If equipped with fire suppression system, refer to Section 419-03 for important safety warnings.
NOTE: Before starting electrical diagnosis, check for mechanical binds by manually operating the door locks. Operate the lock system several times from each switch while observing the operation of all the door locks. Be sure the battery is fully charged.
- Verify the customer concern.
- Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

- If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
- If the cause is not visually evident, connect the diagnostic tool to the data link connector (DLC) and select the vehicle to be tested from the diagnostic tool menu. If the diagnostic tool does not communicate with the vehicle:
- check that the program card is correctly installed.
- check the connections to the vehicle.
- check the ignition switch position.
- If the diagnostic tool still does not communicate with the vehicle, refer to the diagnostic tool operating manual.
- Carry out the diagnostic tool data link test. If diagnostic tool responds with:
- SCP or ISO circuit fault; all electronic control units no response/not equipped, refer to Section 419-10 .
- No response/not equipped for the DDM, refer to Section 419-10 .
- No response/not equipped for the LCM, refer to Section 419-10 .
- System passed, retrieve and record the continuous diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), erase the continuous DTCs and carry out self-test diagnostics for the DDM and LCM.
- If the DTCs retrieved are related to the concern, go to the Driver Door Module (DDM) Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index.
- If no DTCs related to the concern are retrieved, GO to Symptom Chart .
