Motor shakes very bad

I already replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel injectors, spark plugs and cables, and the coil as well and I still have the same problem with my 2000 ford mustang. As soon as you turn it on the motor starts shaking very bad. I already checked the vacuum lines for any leaks but nothing. What have I missed?

I personally would check the fuel pressure. Then I would go back to the coil. I have seen brand new bad coils out of the box. The symptoms of a loss of power point to this component, especially if the car idles well, but loses power when accelerating. Please do not rate this reply - we all are left to grasp at straws since you have changed pretty much everything. Good Luck. Please post the final fix of the problem.

Before you go any further open the trunk and check the fuel pump roll over valve switch, mounted on the left side inside the trunk, push the switch down and try the vehicle.

A misfire at idle that smooths out at cruise is ALMOST ALWAYS caused by a vacuum leak. Take a hard look at your fuel trims at idle. If the Bank 2 Long Term Fuel Trim is more than + a couple points higher than the Bank 1 trim, your problem is most likely a vacuum leak. If the Fuel Trims even-out while holding the engine at 2000 RPM for about 20 seconds, then a vacuum leak is DEFINITELY your problem. I would suspect a leaking lower intake gasket leak because an upper plenum leak will normally affect all cylinders.

I had a head gasket going when I have a rough idle. Just weeping coolant past the number 1 cylinder. When I pulled the head the piston was all shiny and steam cleaned. $500 dollars all good now.

Motor shakes very bad

-Sounds like blow head gasket, broken or burn valve.
-Do compression check each cylinder to see what you have and compare to its specification.
Or
-Was it recently rebuild?
If so then timing might be off.
spark plug wire connect to the wrong spark plug.
Vacuum line might connect to the wrong line.
Bad rotor or cap .

Good luck

You've already eliminated the spark plug & wireset, distributor cap & rotor.
Sounds like your car needs a tune-up, specifically, the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve, and/of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve.

Components checked/replaced during a tune-up are:
air filter
motor oil
motor oil filter
breather filter
fuel filter(s)
fuel strainer
PCV valve
EGR valve
spark plugs
spark plug wires
ECM or distributor cap & rotor
cabin air filter
transmission oil filter
transmission oil
engine coolant
check all vacuum hoses and lines

I have a 1995 honda civic dx 1.5. One day i was driving and when I was going up a hill the car lost all its power and started running rough. It starts up ok but the enginge shakes real bad and has no...

try doing a fuel injector check. do this by pulling each of the cables out one at a time while the car is running. pull out the first one, if the car starts to shake even more, or turn off, then the fuel injector is good. replace the spark plug cable. repeat the steps for the rest. if the car remains does the same thing, as in starts to shake more or turn off, then the problem exists elsewhere. but, if you remove one of the spark plug cables, and the car remains the same, then you found your bad fuel injector. the only other thing that occurs to me is changing the fuel filter. it could be that the fuel filter is clogged, and when you started going up hill, the fuel pump simply couldnt push the fuel up. but the first one sounds more logical. it either sounds like it could be what you said, about one of the cylinders not working, or a loss of pressure somewhere, which would be fuel, or air. usually air is alot less likely to cause problems like this than fuel. hope this helps, goodluck.
