Everything seems to check out good, but the code reader won't work and the car won't start. All relays and fuse links check out to be good.

check the air lines to the bags, make sure switch in trunk is not turned off

Seems that only a good voltage check tracing the positive to the switch will resolve the issue.
If the relay and fuse is good then the power to the switch must be checked. use a multimeter and test the positive voltage to the control panel. If absent trace the harness for any damage or break as the connection is open.
The reason that it fixed by itself three times can be that the lines are connecting when the car is moving or with a vibration. tap on the inside , shake the harness while checking to see if the voltage appears.
A patient observation is required to get the solution to an intermittent connection.
Good luck.

The wires run under the front seats. They start at the drivers side and travel under the plastic panel at the door jam, then cross over to the other side. then they go forward and back to the doors and other electrical devices in the car. these wires can break anywhere. but usually at the door jams. Corners mostly. You will need an electrical schematic and ohm/volt meter to trace the wires. Also a piece of wire about 5 feet long and lots of time. This not a fuse or relay problem as all the doors work off one circuit breaker. If it went bad then none of the doors would work. Let me know, I can help. also there is the slight possibility that both motors went out at the same time. Randy

thats what it sounds like to me, start there

You'll have to figure
out if it is a fuel or ignition problem.
Is
the check engine light on ? Have you checked for trouble codes ?
It could be a relay, the ignition module, coil, fuel pump, or a list of other things.
