Thermostat for this is a 192 that means at full open it would be 122 and that is to hot. Check your fan clutch have some one run engine till hot shut off engine grab fan blade it should be real hard to turn if it's not replace fan clutch. Have a meat thermometer in the radiator when cold and run engine till the upper radiator hose gets hot that will be 192 if it is not replace thermostat. If this all is working then have the cooling system cleaned. Also sometimes almost never the water pump vanes rot or brake
U didn't say the engine, if it is a 6cylinder then around 195-200 F, if a V8 they run very hot, around 225 F, so you have a problem, is the coolant clean? no rust present? I would suspect that you need the radiator pulled and roded out by a radiator shop.
