To get the window up without the motor you will have to take the door panel apart. You will have to take the motor out of the loop to move the mechanism, raise the window and put the locked motor back in to hold it up.

It is likely the window motor is wearing out and will need to be replaced. You can always try a different switch on those wires to rule out switch problem. Otherwise, the motor will have to be replaced.

SOURCE: 2003 Nissan Maxima. Passenger power window problem

Same problem on passenger door 92,000 miles. Dealer said he can reset the regulator inside the door by pressing button. I am looking for more information on this problem too. He estimates 1/2 hr (~$50) to do work.

chances are your window regulator just broke on you. usually the plastic clips break off. Im not sure if you can just replace the plastic clips or have to replace the whole regulator. go into a nissan dealer parts dept and have them pull up a diagram of the drivers window. it will give you a very good diagram of what the regulator looks like. hope this helps!

My passenger window is stuck up and my 2 back windows fall down and wont roll up

The regulators need replaced in the back ones the front one could be a window motor or a bad switch. Unplug the window motors and hook them up directly to a battery supply of 12 volt power and see if they go up and down. If the motor runs and the track doesnt the cable is broken. If the front window motor doesnt move replace the regulator and motor assembly

1990 maxima Drivers side window, will power down but won't go back up

Check the cable that lifts the window. If the cable is frayed or twisted and stuck the window will not work.

If this is the case the window regulator assembly must be replaced. It contains the bracked and cables that operate the window. It cost about $100.

I replaced all four on my 1990 maxima.
