Every morning or after a prolonged down time, my battery is dead. I've taken the battery to be tested and it supposedly tests ok. Took the battery out of our 97 Seville and it does the same thing. I believe it must be a short somewhere that is draining the battery all the time. How would I try to track it down?
Doing a parasitic draw test on the electrical system would be the thing to do . A couple ways of doing it ,will supply youtube video's of the best way to do it .
The BEST Way TO Perform Parasitic Draw Test

Have your alternator tested too; if it has a sick diode, it can drain the battery and also shunt current away from the starter as well as damage the battery by applying unrectified voltage on one leg of the output.
I replaced SIX (6) Delco alternators in nine years on a car built in '95. It would have been more except the engine failed at 57,600 miles and I junked the lemon.
If the starter solenoid is not integrated on your Caddy, it too can fail which will cause too much lost voltage trying to get to the starter.

have fusable links that run to solenoid on top of starter checked. have start switch on steering colum under dash checked

Check the fuse which you will find in the fuse box located under the dash on the driver's side outer wall.

Maybe loose fuel cap. Tighten and see if it comes on again. If it does take it to autoparts store and get a free OBD scan.
SOURCE: Hi 1994 Seville SLS 4.6.fuel pump relay. Is there any way to test
no do not drill no holes wher the gas tank is.the bast way to drop it is to buy a syphon pump for $10 at walmart and get all the gas out. it is located on top of gas tank. to test a relay . take an old phone charger cut the end off that connects to phone wrap one wire to #86 and other to #85 on the relay terminals . it should click each time you connect the charger to terminals. if u have a multimeter use the continuity seting and check terminals 87 and 30 for continuity. it should only beep with power aplied to #86 and 85

i've checked the mirrors to make sure the light was going off but didn't check the glove box.
This all started when I blew the ECS fuse, burned up the fuel pump, and the ignition module. Never had an issue before. I would like to do some sort of test to find out which circuit is shorting.
There should not be 12V from ground to neg terminal on the battery with neg cable disconnected, right?
check the vanity mirror lights to see if they are left on, check the glove box light, have the battery and the alternator tested.
