Interior lights and air-con

Particularly noticeable when the engine has not long been running, the interior lights all dim, flicker and sometimes go off completely for a few seconds like there is loss of power, and now the air-con has started doing the same. When the car has been running for 10-15 minutes it seems to be ok.

SOURCE: My ABS, brake and oil lights keep coming on at the

Its exactly the abs module! and its keeping the ecu from communicating with the rest of the car, when you remove the module your tac will come back alive and the oil light will turn off. There is way to trick the ecu to thinking the abs module is working but it involves taking out the module, it is fairly simple. My email address is [email protected], email me, and I will give you pictures and instructions on what to do. Its really easy, your abs and break light will go off along with the beeping!

SOURCE: 2002 1.6L GOLF, EPC LIGHT

It sounds as if your vehicle may have severe water damage to the engine. The engine sensors on the golf are suseptable to water damage and can result in epc light that you are seeing on your dash, or so i was told by VW. I replaced all the sensors, alternator and the computer on my original engine, but this action didnt fix the problem. So i bit the bullet and replaced the engine, and haven't had a problem since. If you do the labor yourself it can be done as cheap as $4000. I hope this helps mate.

good luck

not that this is going to really help your overall problem but I can tell you that smelling antifreeze in the cabin and if the foormats are wet in the front then it is probably your heater core that has sprung a leak. Think of your heater core as a mini radiator but inside the vehicle and they are usually tucked up inside the dash somewhere and is usually quite expensive to have repaired because of all the labor involved. I just replaced mine in my 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis and it took me about 10 hours to change out. And i am a mechanic. As for your electrical problems I would personally contact the dealership and as them about recalls or technical bulletins concerning your 2003 GMC Yukon xl denali. Good Luck.

Why dimming headlights and interior lights?

The outside lights could possibly be dim because the bulbs are burning out. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Flickering Headlights and Dim interior lights

Definately an electrical problem....first off, check the battery and alternator connections to make sure they are tight. The problem has to be before the fuse box because the headlights and interior lights are on different fuses. It sounds to me like a loose wire, corroded battery terminals, or an alternator that is going bad. An alternator is a relatively easy and cheap fix. They cost about $100 and require removing a few wires, 3 bolts, and the serpentine belt.
