The firing order for the 2.8 liter v6 engine is 123456. The number 1 cylinder is located on the left side and goes like this: Left side is 1,3,5. Right side is 2,4,6. The firing order on the distributor is clockwise and number one is located at the 7 o'clock position.

one plug is the first one facing you on the right and the last plug to
fire is the first one facing you on the left. The rotor button spins

Got kind of confused because I'm pretty sure the Sonoma didn't come out until 1992 but then again I could be wrong. Not perfect you know.
