I have a L100 Saturn 2002 that has the code P0300 when scanned. I have already change the fuel filter, spark plugs and boots. But it still has the code. When you start it you can hear the fuel pump come on. It idles rough and went put in gear starts to hesitate. Going down the road you can push on accerator but seems its not getting gas or compression. It will only go about 45mph. What do I do next?
Here's a link to the P0300 code and possible causes.Sounds like clogged fuel injectors. https://www.autocodes.com/p0300_saturn.html

buy a can of carburator cleaner, spray into duct area while cranking engine. Does engine try to start(fire)? If so, find inertia switch (button in trunk). 'reset button just by pushing it. If this switch was triped, fuel injectors or fuel pump will not operaate. If spraying carb cleaner does not help starting then fuel pressure should be checked to rule out fuel delevery problem. AS a precaution, make sure your useing the correct key(original). Security problems also shut off fuel.

you may have two oxugen sensors on your yukon. if so the oxygen sensor that controls that bank may be bad. from what you mentioned in your complaint, it sounds like it is the oxygen sensor.

check the fuel pressure when u get a po300 code that means there has been a missfire. if your fuel pressure is low it will cause missfires.

Hi, you stated that the original fuel pump is still installed. I would replace this pump as soon as possible. this may be the key issue. You can check the voltage on this part by using a voltage meter. you should get 14 volts here. if its less than 14, it will run weak , in return, preventing proper fuel flow. I would also check the injection system to see if its running properly as well.
please rate and god bless.

Thank you for all the information. I don't see how you made it worse unless the injectors were not installed correctly. If you remove them you are suppose to replace the o-ring on each of them and oil them (the o-rings) before installing them. I would check the air filter and the CAT (for excessive back pressure. Also check the rest of the exhaust for damage. If a pipe is kinked or flattened it would need repair. Also GM's are known for some issues with there e-vap systems. You may want to check it out. The gas cap, charcoal canister, vacuum lines. Well good luck.
