Rough idling in an '06 Jeep Rubicon

Feels like it's about to stall when idling - normally after being on highway for awhile.  Replaced idle control & spark plugs - seemed to work for about a month.  Now it's happening again.  Took it back in but the diagnostic didn't show anything??? I have a 2006 Wrangler Unlimited. At idle, the RPM is about 400 to 500. Everything else is great. What do I do?

If you replaced the idle air control and did not clean out the passageway in the throttle body this can happen...check that first.

Sound like the air idle sensor. It's attached to the the throttle body. Take it off a do a thoughor cleaning. Replace the air idle sensor if needed.

Try cleaning your throttle body, then disconnect the battery to clear the memory.

the problem you have could be many things, coolant sensor -egr -tps-air temp sensor-idle speed control-vacuum leaks-mass air flow-fuel injectors-ignition without scanning for a code the only option is parts changing that sucks with more info i might be able to narrow it down.

Do not drive it 'till you have the problem solved or if you already haven't lost the cylinder head gasket, you will!!
First thing to check is that the fan (s) works. If mechanical and electric fans are good, check the thermostat. In fact, just replace it as it is inexpensive and once overheated they become unreliable.
Make sure the cooling system is full when cold, both in the recovery bottle and in the radiator If it's not full, check for leaks hot and cold..
If you have any unexplained coolant loss and see white smoke from the exhaust, the head gasket has failed. If you have a 4.0 engine, also be aware that they develop micro-cracks in the cylinder head (problem began in about 2000 but there are still a few showing up) All heads from 2000 and up should be magnafluxed to prevent re-use and immediate failure after a head gasket has been replaced.
Your radiator needs to be flow tested as well but at 5yrs old, unless there is a huge amount of minerals in the water in your location, likely it's good.
Work from the easy items up to the more difficult, unless you see something that definitely has a problem. If you have a question about what you find, just ask. If you have no experience it is a good idea to buy a chilton or haynes manual before beginning. That will save you lots of time and aggravation!

2002 jeep liberty stalls when coming to a stop new fuel pump in

Would be a fuel pump issue if stalling at a stop , but runs fine other then stopping . Does it lose power going down the road - highway speed's ? Could be idle air control valve problem , vacuum leak , EGR valve that is carboned up an staying open . Your best bet mite be to take to a qualified repair shop an have a diagnostic scan done .

What is the purpose of the IAT? 2006 jeep grand cherokee laredo

Do you mean IAC. This is the Idle Air Control Valve and would be what you need to replace.
The Idle Air Control (IAC) valve is an electric actuator controlled by the engine computer, which regulates the engine's idle speed. A faulty IAC valve will make the engine idle rough and possibly stall.
