My 2007 ion car alarm has been going off for the last two weeks atleast three times at night and there would be no one around?

If Car was NEW fron a Dealer , contact dealership and ask them to supply you with the keys you need.. If alarm stay on , take lead off Battery, if your not using Car .

Try charging the battery!

I had something similar and when all was said and done I found mice had crawled up into my air intake and were living in my dash chewing on my electrical wiring harness. I thought my car was posessed by ghosts or something.

-First check for broken spark plug wire.

This is a malfunction of the alarm system, possible that the processor was triggered. if there was some rodents or creatures that had triggered then it would have gone on till you went around to switch off.... it works for a time period.
Check the leads of the alarm unit, Then ARM the car and try to shake the car to see if there is any reaction to confirm.

I'm not sure that is possible without having your key in your ignition. When reprogramming keys or transmitters they would all have to be reprogrammed to work with your vehicle at the same time so as long as your current keys and transmitters work I'm pretty sure that this incident is pure fluke!

the car alarm system is over sensitive. adjust if there is a provision for adjustment.

check door jamb switches located at the end of the dash.

you need to turn the sensitivity down check your owners manual or call your toyota dealer for instructions many toyotas have this problem in cold temp's.hope this is helpful

iook out for any windows that are just open.no flies in side the car,make sure that the battery is fully charged.or the last bit to look at is the boot and hood pins are adjusted correctly.
