Radio does not turn on

Entire stereo system and clock will not turn on. Could this be a fuse issue? Is this something I can replace myself? I have a 2004 Saturn Ion 2.

Saturn Ion's are known for major faulty wiring...This is especially true in the ignition switch when it is cold and the radio going out...The faulty wiring probably ruined your radio...

probably the fuse that powers the cigarette lighter also powers the radio so check the cigarette lighter and socket for a short and replace the fuse.

2007 Pontiac Torrent: Radio drains battery when off.

hmm... well normally that line will also power the clock but i cant see it drawing that much power :/ If you take that fuse out does it still flatten your battery? what about immobilizer? or car alarm? but whatever it is... you may have to divert power to ignition instead of accessories so that it only uses power when the key has been turned to 'on' position... but there's definitely something using power there.... I'm curious!

What the fuse number for the stereo

Fuse #38 (10A) is for the clock and radio. You should keep an eye on it after replacing it though to determine if there is something more serious causing the fuse to blow

Radio

Sounds like the head unit is bad on your audio system. You would need to replace the entire unit. I'd recommend an aftermarket stereo instead of another Ford stereo.

Radio/dvd/cd not working since battery died

alot of newer cars have an anti theft system for the radio and when you lose power you have to enter a code into the radio so you may have to call the dealership to get it

Clock light working

Ok, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you if you are having this problem and you really hate not having the clock go get a new head unit(stereo). From what I was told this is not a simple fix, they will have to replace the entire stereo. So, you may as well deal with it, get a little clock to put near it, or buy a new stereo from like circuit city and have it installed there(which is free for most stereos). I know, I hate it too, but I can't stand not being able to just look at what time it is. Plus I like to flip through stations.... :(
