Question about Jeep Liberty
Anti theft module activated in my 2003 jeep liberty, is there anyway to bypass it?
There are 2 things, under that topic
immobiliser (engine cranks but wont start, immo glowing in dash)
and the door locks antitheft parts
why not tell the symptoms, of the problem so we can be on same page.
these systems are complex.
some cars it can not be bypassed.
chrysler factory SKIM security?
the whole purpose of the system is to prevent what you ask.
why not say the full story,,,

You can start it by putting into program mode...try to start, then turn it to off..,,then turn it to on (not start)..leave it on for 15 min...turn it to off for 2 min..and start..
This will reset the signal from the bcm to the pcm of the car.
you most like ly have a problem in the start switch key reader...It has to be replaced as a unit
Or it could be your bcm or pcm...very very expensive... try this first... If it does not work off to the dealership..don't even try to give this to a garage to fix. Gm has the software to reflash your computer.

The system needs to be checked for cades. Airbag codes are pulled out
of the ECU with the use of a scanner tool. A good auto mechanic shop
will have this or you can go to the dealer. YOU SHOULD NOT TRY TO
REPAIR THIS YOURSELF,YOU COULD ACTIVATE THE AIRBAG!!!!!

It is the blower motor resistor. Look under the passanger side dash and locate the fan housing (looks round and black in color. Then locate the resistor it will be in that housing usually withtwo ten millimeter nuts or two simple screws holding it in. unplug the harness to the resistor and remove the resistor. Part store price is approx. 50.00. Note: on aftermarket (not Jeep) resistor sometimes you have to modify the housing a little to get it in. Hope this helps.
