SOURCE: Check engine light is on. Codes are p1781, p0113

DTC P0113 - Intake Air Temperature Sensor High Voltage
To diag this code you will need a volt/ohm meter. Need to check for 5 volt reference in to sensor from PCM, and ground side of sensor to PCM. Also, check carefully the wires at the sensor. The wires may be broken inside the insulation, right at the connector of the sensor. Pull on each wire slightly and see if it starts stretch. If it does, then the wire is broke inside the insulation, and will need to be repaired.

DTC P0700 - EATX ControllerIs
Is a generic transmission control code. This code lets you know that a specific failure code is stored in the TCM (Transmission Control Module) and needs to be retreived with a diagnostic scanner with TCM reading capabilities. It may or may not be related to the ROM failure in the ECM (Engine Control Module).

DTC P1781 - Engine Torque Signal Circuit
This code is set during engine start up when the ECM and TCM do not communicate properly during initial power up. It will only illuminate the service light if the condition occurs in 2 consecutive start cycles, but the DTC will be stored in the failure records after the first cycle.

Hope this helps.

How much would I expect to pay to have the codes P1781, P0401 and P0700 repaired?

First and last code are transmission related and the middle one is EGR. Is the transmission acting up?

What does these codes mean P1781, P0731, P1784 AND P0700 AND HOW DO I FIX THEM.

p1781 is manufacturer control transmission, p0731 is gear 1 ratio incorrect, p1784 is manufacturer control transmission, p0700 is trans, control system malfunction. all of these codes refer to tranny. This code normally points to a faulty transmission control module, but this is an expensive part and you should have an experienced Dodge technician diagnose the problem first. or a transmission specialist. the other codes are probably associated with the p0700 code. have a good day !

Codes p0118, p0700,andp1781

for code p0118 the possible fixes are a bad connection to the sensor
an open on the ground circuit to the ecm
or a bad temperature sensor

for code p0700 possible tranny major issue this would have to be inspected by a tranny shop

for code p1781 not sure what that code is not familiar with this one to be completely honest

Transmission will not shift out of low on my chevy 2001 3500 , the code is p0700 and p1781, p1721

P0700 will come up with most all codes or faults to do with a transmission,P1781 is 4X4 switch out of range,I have never heard of a P1721 but a P0721 is trans output sensor range or performance. If the computer isn't getting a output speed it doesn't know that it should shift.I would check all your wiring down around the trans area looking for broken or grounded wires if ok have the speed sensor checked for being opened.

It'2004 aveo 1.6liter THROWING CODES P0700 TRANSMISSION CONTROL

There are a couple of bulletins from GM on valves causing these codes. # 05-06-01-030D and #PIP3063C are the bulletin #'s you need to have them look at. They are related to the valves in the cylinder head causing your exact symptoms. You should contact another dealer or GM customer assistance with this info. Good Luck

Codes given are p0700 and p1781. Anyone know what these codes stand for? Thanks

The Transmission shop lacks the skills and tools need to do the job. It's best to call around for a shop that has a proper scanner to talk to the TCM computer. The real trouble codes are in there. The best place would be a shop that has a ASE mechanic on duty or the Dealership.

Here what the two codes means:

P0700 Transmission Control System Malfunction
It means you have a trans control problem in the trans computer.
You will need to get it on a trans capable scanner to see what the trans code or problem is.

the P1781 is set during engine start up when the ECM & TCM do not communicate properly during initial power up. It will only illuminate the service light if the condition occurs in 2 consecutive start cycles, but the DTC will be stored in the failure records after the first cycle.
