1995 jeep 1 month ago i replaced crank senser, i had stalling prob,
it fix it. know this mornning i went to start it . hit the key its trun over fires and starts, turn back from start pos its stops can not keep running.
This sounds like it is your ignition module not sending message o your computer letting know that the key is in the ignition and the car has been started. Replace the ignition module

Yes, it could be. The crank sensor is responsible for a lot of jeeps not getting spark. First check if the green/black wire to the coil has voltage with key on. That is the primary current to coil. If voltage there, it could be the crank sensor. If no voltage to coil with key on, then problem is that computer is not sending power to the coil. That will have to be checked-there is a relay involved-the Automatic Shut Down relay in the under hood fuse-relay box.
it may have a seperate pump for the seprate tanks im not sure. it acts to me like its running thaose few miles on fuel left in lines from the back tank. i would start by selcting the frount tank when you put it to bed one night, then in morning have some one turn the key while you listen for a fuel pump if i didnt hera one i would start there. if i heard one check for a seperate fuel filter for the frount tank then check for pluged lines between the two tanks. it has to be someting simple. good luck.
sounds like the fire is good, you might try replacing your fuel filter first and if it still has the problem then the fuel pump, do you hear the fuel pump whirring when you turn the key on? thats what the sound is that you hear when first starting the car, it will whirrr and then click letting you know it has proper fuel pressure
A definition: cranking is what happens when you turn the key, the starter engages and turns the engine. (term comes from when that was done with a crank that you stuck into the front of the engine to start it, before electric starters were invented) Turning over is the same as cranking. Starting is when the engine actually starts, even if for a brief moment. Now...if the engine turns when you turn the key it is cranking. Was it doing that? If not, the problem is either in the battery, starter/starter relay or security system (sometimes) or the ignition switch. If it is turning and not starting, then the engine needs to be checked to make sure it has spark at the plugs, and fuel going into it. These problems are different ans some can be easily solved.
how do you reset the computer for 1995 jeep grand cherokee changed the starter yesterday now it only runs 10 seconds and dies some one said to reset conputer but i dont know how tried the internet no luck please anybody help thanks ken
this year model is notorious for fuel related probs...check the remainder of the fuel system, injectors, and the fuel pressure regulator also verify that the fuel pump is actually running and getting the correct amount of power to the pump itself..... it may not be bad just not getting enough power
