SOURCE: 2004 Pontiac Montana blows cold air in defrost

There is a mix damper inside your duct that controls the heat over heater core and ac evaporator that to your floor and one to your defrost. it is probable an electric actuator, that is not functioning properly. If yu can locate it and manually move it, you might have to remove the actuator motor first, you should be able to figure out your problem, I hope this helps! merry Christmas!

SOURCE: 2005 Pontiac Bonneville hvac blower does not come on

Start by checking the blower resistor. It should be under the dash on the passenger side near the blower itself. You will need to remove the glove box to access it. It is a small plate that has only a few screws and a group of wires that go to a plug in the center. Unplug it and remove the screws. When you pull it out it should look like a series of small spring shaped coils. Most likely one or two of them will be burned up. Replace it in reverse order and your blower should start working again. If this is not the problem then test the fan motor itself. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Where is the hvac programmer in my 2003 pontiac bonneville ssei?

Instead of trying to play automotive technician replacing parts that doesn't fix the the problem , do yourself a favor an take it to a qualified repair shop. First off , looking at a wiring diagram too see what all is invovled in making the blower motor work an then testing the electrical circuit's to find the problem is what should be done , not guessing an replacing parts . Besides , this vehicle doesn't have a blower motor resistor , it has a blower motor control processor .

I have a 98 bonneville se. the blower fan only comes on when the knob is all the way up and it ONLY blows heat and absolutely no cold also the air only blows out the defroster and the floor

How did you test the A/C system ? Hook up gauge manifold , test A/C pressures ? Manual or automatic climate control ? The blower motor only working on high means the blower motor resistor is bad ! Did you hook up a scan tool an check high an low pressure switchs inputs to the PCM - engine computer . Does the A/C compressor clutch engage ? turning on the compressor ? Moving the mode switch does nothing . Doesn't move from floor to vent to defrost ? Probably the mode door actuator ! Don't think the HVAC control panel is bad . Just a few little things . Pushing the A/C button on the control panel just send a electrical signal to the PCM , the PCM will energize the A/C clutch relay , turning on the compressor .

Looking for vent flap modulator....ac is cold but flap is closed and wont let air flow into car interior..what is the real part name...the car is a still nice 98 pontiac bonneville that is very hot to...

Hi!!
The part is called Blend Door Actuator, it is located on the passenger side under dash, behind glove compartment, on the blower motor housing, is held by two or three screws and has an electrical connector plugged into it. You can get a replacement at almost any auto parts store.
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

Air flow in car vents low

Sounds like the flap that controls the direction of air flow is stuck in the wrong position. Possibly a vacuam line off the actuator.
