Remove a battery terminal, Connect an Amp meter in series, should get a reading of about 0.3 of an amp, that will be the clock, for it to kill a battery overnight I would expect a reading of about 3 amps, something is staying on? Trunk light is a favourite, you can't see it with the trunk shut, remove the fuses one at a time and watch the meter, when the drain drops off, you have found the cicuit

(I replaced the battery this morning, it doesn't change anything and it for some reason is draining the battery) Something draining the battery - you have a parasitic draw on the battery, like something is on but isn't. More than likely the instrument cluster is the problem. Silver solder migration on the circuit board inside the instrument cluster can cause a parasitic drain on the electrical system. Also, can short out the serial data network causing no start conditions.

I have 2003 Chev. Blazer, new battery and alt., problem is battery goes dead over night. I noticed the gauges are coming back on when the key is out of ignition.

You may have a shorted wire(s) off the ignition switch. Check the wiring off the switch, and cover any bare or exposed wires.

Do you own a professional type scan tool ? Would need to see if the instrument cluster can communicate with scan tool . That would be a priority . If the instrument cluster ,for some reason wouldn't be talking,checking power an ground for the cluster . Batteries going dead , changing batteries without a alternative power supply can cause modules to go to sleep permanently ! Battery Disconnect or Replacement Problems I'am not saying that's what happen to your's . 2003 to 2006 GM had cluster problems ! The solder use in the cluster caused silver migration , instrument cluster caused a drain on the battery overnight . Watch these videos !

Battery was completely dead ? after how long , over night , or just out of the blue ? These year GM vehicle's 03 to 06 have instrument cluster problems , draining the battery . Do you know what parasitic draw is ? Google it . They used lead free solder constructing the electronics , an after a while it causes silver migration .

Truck Radio/CD Player, no sound coming out of speakers

GM had insturment cluster problems 2003 to 2006 . Inside is a part called a stepper motor , this stepper motor controls the gauge position .

Beside's the stepper motor issue there can also be a problem with something called silver migration , this has to do with the solder used in the insturment cluster . This can cause a number of electrical problems most people would not even think possible .
