2003 VW Jetta wont start after turing off motor sometimes for hours

After driving Jetta for a few minutes or for an extended time and shutting the engine off it will not start and run for several hours later. It will start and run for only about a 1/2 a second and pressing the gas pedal it has no affect while its started. After about 30 minutes of trying to start vehicle it stops firing up at all. It will start up after few hours later. This has only happened twice in a few weeks.

Not knowing what engine and drive-train you have I would say it is either be a bad throttle accuator or throttle position sensor . you will need to take it to ford to be scanned

1999 vw jetta turns off after 10 min of driving

It would be worth checking/replacing the ignition module ( see if you have a spark when it WON'T start) . Coil assy are plentiful and the most likely given your description. Very prone to over heating and shutting down. Good luck

When driving, the turbo shuts down and I lose power. After shutting the car off for 15-20 minutes, the turbo resets and works again. Sometimes it will work for a few days, other times it may only work...

Check the spark plugs, I have seen several VW turbos with this problem. The aluminum heads expand and contract to fast and crack the porcelain on the plug causing the engine to misfire when the turbo spools up and makes boost. The misfire drops the engine and trans into a "safe mode" where it loses power.

2003 VW Jetta 1.8T Shuts off

The EPC ( Electronic Power Control) light comes on because there is an problem with the engine. I would take it to your local dealer or part store and have them hook a scan tool up to it and read the codes. This will give you a code or codes that identify what is wrong with your engine. The part store does not charge for this service, the dealer does. If you have a mechanic that you trust, I would take it to them. Hope this helps.

Either you threw a belt or the alternator went bad. Your symptoms sound like alternator...you were running on the battery till you ran out of power.
