Rattleing front end and Airbag on/off

I have some rattling vibration under the front-end like a hard vibration. A garage near by tells me that come from the front sway bars, that rubber bushings are worn out. He is saying, that all the rest is safe and is nothing else loose. I can hear this noise when I go over bumps, dirt roads. Is very loud and It sound that is on the front right side. All of the sudden my Airbag dash light start it acting on/off. When I make a turn will go on, then off on a straight run, dirt road on, When I turn the engine the light will go on then off, soon as I move the light goes on then off. On/off intermittent. I turned the passenger air bag off to check this problem. That light is lit when is off. That tells me that the passenger Airbag is ok. (maybe). Is this maybe related to the rattling, vibration, or the sensor on the front got corroded. There is any way to troubleshoot this problem. Where I can find a diagram for the sensors front bumper sensors and others. So I can clean them or replace. The Dodge dealers are not very honest around here, I have experienced that with them. Is Impossible to trust them. I will really appreciate if you guys can help with this. Dodge Dakota 2004- 2 doors quad cab.

Thank you. I think you are right, I drove the truck today and now I'm noticing that the light comes on when I make a turn and then off when I'm going straight.

1)There is any way to replace this clockspring my self. Where exactly behind the sterring wheel is located. Any diagrmas?

2)is this spring related to steering wheel sensor.?

Yes also you are right. My local garage not the Dodge service wants me to replac all the sway bar bushings.

The truck has now 72.000 miles.

You have two separate problems. The noise in the front is possibly the sway bar bushings, there was a problem with them on the dakota, durango and caravans. The airbag light problem is probably the clockspring. It is behind the steering wheel.

Yes you can replace the clockspring yourself. Go to your dealer and buy the clockspring so you'll know what you are looking for once inside the column. Disconnect the battery and wait a couple minutes (to discharge capaciters). Remove the steering wheel (you'll need a puller) and upper and lower column shrouds. Once you have it replaced and all back together, turn the key on before connecting the battery. That way if anything went wrong during the replacement and the airbag deploys, you'll be safely outside the vehicle. I hope this helps.

Rattling noise in left front end of truck near wheel well at slow speeds

Remove the front wheel and check the wheel bearing, sometimes you may have to may have to put a bar under the wheel and try to lift it up hard, this will give you an indication on where any movement is. THERE IS A PROBLEM and you need to find it

98 toyota corolla rattling noise in the front end on bumps

The rattle (noticed at times under hard acceleration) is the cause of gas shock on the upper part of the engine loosing charge, in-turn causing the engine mounts extra stress and thus metal vibrating/rattling together.
The knocking (over bumps, etc. if you have noted that) is caused by worn bushings, most likely worn sway bar end links (you will see the links looking at the undercarriage, on both sides, they are a little steel "bars" with threaded ends on a 90 deg angle held by bushings e.g. example of front sway bar links ).
I noticed these noises coming on (at various times) at about ~140,000km or ~67,000mi and drove the car as it was until ~300,000km when i sold it (as is). Annoying noises.... yes... did I turn up the radio and carry on driving this car, not "fixing" anything (and I mean not a single $ spent on it aside from maintenance) and then sell the car... yes. The choice is yours.

What part is located in the front of the engine between the engine head and the radiator, it is making a rattling sound at high idle

lots of parts, alternator, water pump, a/c compressor lower area . many of them are on the serpentine belt. the pulleys and tensioner can make rattles. you need to confirm which part has the rattle or vibration, use a stick or screw driver. touch one end on the part and the other near your temple...any noise/vibration coming through?

fiind which one it is. lower noise on the crank can also sound like its coming from up front and that's a deep rattle.

Front End Rattling in 2006 Pontiac Pursuit

Sounds like a body weld issue ( as this is a unitized body design). Several US GM models prone to this. No real good cure.
