I assume the fuse has power if the hazards work. The third brake light skips the turn signal switch, the regular brake light circuit goes thru the turn signal switch. Do you have power going into the turn signal switch on the red lite green wire from the brake switch ?
Lets start at the beginning. The turn signals and brake lights use different fuses but both go thru the turn signal switch and use the same bulbs. Have you checked the fuses for each circuit and does each switch have power in and out ?
brake light dont have relay only fuse brakes are hot at all times on gms. in goes from fuse to brake pedal switch to hazard turn signal switch then to brake lights. ck fuse if good go to pedal switch if good go to turn /hazard switch the turn signal hazard brake all use same wire to lamps.
You may have a bad signal switch..Your brake lights run through the signal switch..Try hitting the brakes and move the switch around and see if your brake lights come on intermittently..
Does the turn signals or hazards work in the rear?? Yes... it may be the brake switch or the turn signal switch (power goes from battery, to the brake switch then to the turn signal switch, then to the lights. No? .. again.. possibly turn signal switch or the wiring between cab and bed.
turn signals and brake lamps go thru what ford calls a multi function switch.usually replaceable w/o removing steering wheel.pricey item...dealer only part. hazard lamps working?also part of the same switch.power locks not part of this switch.ground good on back of pdl switch?usually activated by grounding.hope this helps...
