1999 Plymouth Neon won't start. It cranks and cranks like it is going to but doesn't. I thought Coil Pack, But I replaced that and it didn't change anything.... any suggestions? It isn't a fuel problem, there is fuel in it and it is getting up there. Plugs and wires are also both good. HELP!!

Check the fuses.......had same problem, blown fuse to the ignition or fuel pump. Changed and fired right up.

SOURCE: 1998 dodge Neon no fire to coil

it sound like you have a bad crank sensor when the sensor gets hot it open circuits inside the sensor and you loose spark if you have access to a noid light see if you are loosing injector pulse also if so then you know its a good chance its the crank sensor

Start by checking for a wire shorting to ground if that checks good you will need to go thru the circuit and check the amp draw at each component, fuel pump, ignition coil, ect. until you find the bad part

97 plymoth neon crank sensor

If there is spark to cylinders 2 & 3 than it is not the cranks sensor. Cylinder 1 & 4 are on the same coil and cylinders 2 & 3 are on the other coil. Replacing lithe coil pack will likely solve you lack of spark on cylinders 1 & 4.

We replaced the Water pump and Timing belt on a 1999 Plymouth Neon 2.0 Single Overhead Cam Engine. Engine Cranks, Is getting Fuel...but no spark. We changed the Coil Pack. It still cranks, but no...

If its not getting spark the choices are limited. You already replaced the coil pack so whats left is ignition module, crank sensor, knock sensor, cam sensor, or the timing was not was not set properly when putting it back together. Any one of those would create a no spark situation.
